Overview
About the Gig:
As a Marketing Cloud Consultant, you will participate in, and lead Marketing Cloud implementations. You will be focused on project delivery across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-sales to project completion. An integral part of your role will be working with clients to further their digital marketing presence via Marketing Cloud initiatives. You will act as a trusted source of knowledge to advise clients in line with Marketing Cloud best practices and its growing number of capabilities to ultimately build a vision for a multi-channel roadmap. You are like an extension of the client’s team, and the brains of their operation.
A Day-in-the-Life:
- Managing marketing automation projects, timelines, and deliverables
- Telling our clients what to do next (especially when they don’t know, but sometimes even if they do!)
- Learning our customers’ businesses to be able to advise them on marketing, sales, and operations strategies
- Project managing Marketing Cloud implementations & optimization projects
- Reviewing client performance metrics & recommending strategies to help improve them
- Working in Marketing Cloud to build out programs & campaigns- Design and implement, for automated email/mobile journeys using Email Studio,
- Mobile Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder, and advise clients on how to optimize further
- Coordinating the work of contractors and internal people to serve clients as efficiently & effectively as possible
- Holding training sessions & topical workshops with clients and sharing knowledge with your teammates
- Monitoring hours burn-down & budgets
- Designing and/or building integrations between Marketing Cloud and 3rd party applications or data sources

- Delegate to other team members in contract or specialized roles
- Be able to Google their way out of just about anything
- Have a desire to continue developing skills in Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, marketing strategy, and/or consulting
- Possess the ability to work with clients to design customer journeys, and associated data models.
Bonus Points for the following experience:
- Datorama, Informatica/Jitterbit/Talend/Dell Boomi, Interaction Studio, Commerce Cloud, Salesforce CDP, Advertising Studio
- Google Analytics (360), PPC Advertising
- Reporting and analyzing email activity using Email Studio reports and Journey Builder. (Nice to have) proficiency with Data Views and Discover Reports within Analytics Builder, Einstein Engagement
- Active in the Salesforce Trailblazer community
- Have extensive experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, most importantly Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder and Automation Studio and Mobile Studio- familiarity with Cloud Pages and how to build robust custom preference centers also a plus
- Have at least 4 years’ experience working hands-on in Marketing Cloud implementations, ideally involving integrations with Salesforce core and other platforms.
